Christine Pratt has served in senior executive roles in banking, securities, consulting, and research for more than 25 years, and authored more than 50 research papers on the strategic use of IT in financial services. She is a recognized authority on Privacy, Identity Theft and real estate fraud issues. Drawing on her industry-specific expertise that includes COO duties for both the consumer lending and mortgage subsidiaries of a large regional lender and CAO duties for two investment advisory firms, Pratt advises senior management of financial services companies on strategic directions in credit systems and best practices in processing and has experience across multiple lending products that include mortgage, installment, small business and commercial lending. Additionally, Pratt’s experience encompasses strategic planning as well as systems’ design, development, and implementation.

Background
Prior to launching her own firm, Pratt honed her research and advisory skills as a research director at Financial Insights an IDC company and as an industry analyst at TowerGroup. Before beginning a career in technology research, Pratt managed multiple systems conversions for Citizens Bank in Rhode Island, a top 10 US Bank, and was a senior vice president at BayBanks where she had oversight of all credit operations managing a staff of more than 500. At Shawmut Bank, Pratt drove the centralization of corporate customer call centers and managed all corporate services operations. Additionally, as a senior manager for a New York based consulting firm she supported top ten financial institutions and Internet startups.

Pratt has contributed articles and been quoted in national media and industry journals including MSNBC,com, American Banker, Bank Technology News, Computerworld, Forbes, CIO Magazine, US News and World Report, Credit Union News, and publications of the ABA, the ICBA, and the FDIC which referenced her automobile finance research in their 2004 report on consumer credit. She is also in demand as a speaker for industry conferences sponsored by organizations such as the Consumer Bankers Association (CBA), the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), the Bank Administration Institute (BAI) and the like, on such topics as IT trends in lending, managing risk in mortgage and home equity lending, CRM initiatives, core systems transformations, and best practices in automobile finance and online lending. Pratt earned her degree from Boston University with a major in English and minor in Mathematics.
